California is full of Classical and Baroque architecture, most of it was made fairly recently. Detached from the geographical and political contexts that shaped these structures, they live in a comfortable stasis where entropy and struggle have yet to touch them. These pieces turns those buildings, statues, and facades into an ornately jumbled mess. Is it a pile of rubble or a crazy palace?
